L’Zurich airport continued its recovery in July by welcoming 2.92 million passengersbe one 15.7% increase over one year.

This traffic is 93% of the level of July 2019, the pre-pandemic period. The number of aircraft movements increased by nearly 10% over one year and also represented more than 92% of what it was before the crisis. Freight volumes, on the other hand, contracted sharply, by 16% over one year and by 20% compared to the same period in 2019, for a total of 30,121 tonnes.

Revenue from shops in the terminal grew even more markedly, rising by 12.6% over twelve months to 61.1 million Swiss francs. The change was driven in particular by the stalls located beyond the controls, with each traveler spending an average of 25.10 Swiss francs (+1.8%) there.

The Swiss airport operator Flughafen Zürich also reports that its international platforms also continued their growth curve in July. In Brazil, Florianópolis airport saw its attendance increase by 12.4% to 320,082 passengers, while those of Vitória and Macaé saw theirs increase by 21.9% to 329,766 passengers. As for the Chilean airports of Antofagasta and Iquiquie, they posted gains of 22.5% and 10.6% respectively.
