World Connect by APG brought together the best air transport experts

World Connect returned to the Fairmont Hotel in Monaco, from November 1 to 3, 2023, with a major theme: “More than ever, air transport remains fundamental.” But many other subjects were discussed during this event which was held at the Fairmont-Monaco hotel.

Nearly 500 participants

APG Connect brings together several hundred participants each year, including around a hundred airline executives.

Air transport remains fundamental

This year, we will ask the question of whether air transport remains fundamental more than ever. Tim Clark, CEO of Emirates, and Anne Rigail, CEO of Air France, will share a panel under the theme: “What will air transport look like in the future”. This is without counting the participation of around twenty other prestigious speakers from different countries, all international experts in their field.

Intermodality and the ecological challenge

The position taken at the opening of the 14th edition of APG World Connect by Sandrine de Saint-Sauveur and Richard Burgess, respectively president and CEO of APG Inc and president of APG Network, responds from Monte-Carlo to the ecological challenge with a new winning approach: intermodality. .

“The future of the air sector is moving towards a completely flexible mobility concept – added Florian Von Klier, executive director of innovation and global solutions at Sixt Rent A Car – which is why we will have to work on creating a platform -single form that integrates all existing transport platforms”.

Yannik Assouad, vice-president of Thales Avionics said “Singapore or Seoul airports are among the best examples of seamless transport experiences today, but in Europe, the widespread use of biometrics in the service of technology must be accompanied by greater protection of privacy. The balance between development and protection will therefore involve strengthening cybersecurity.”
