An airline plane Air Canada was seriously damaged when a truck caught fire under the rear of its fuselage at the airport of Montreal. The damage is very important.
July 9, 2023 at the airport of Montreal-Pierre Elliott TrudeauTHE Boeing 777-300ER of the Canadian flag carrier registered C-FITL was parked at gate 66 after its flight from Geneva, when a truck carrying drinking water caught fire at the level of the engine and then burst into flames. The flames partially destroyed the rear of the fuselage located just above the vehicle, firefighters extinguishing the disaster in less than 30 minutes.
No one was injured in the incident, including some of the last AC885 passengers who left the plane at the time of the incident.
The impressive images of flames and black smoke quickly circulated on social media, followed by those of the damage both outside and inside the 777. Who, aged 16, must now expect weeks or even months of repairs.
