Volotea won the public service delegation (DSP) for the line between the airport of Strasbourg and the airport Berlin-Brandenburg. At the same time, it launched a link connecting Strasbourg to London-Gatwick.
The Strasbourg-Berlin link, essential to the good connectivity of the two territories, was awarded last week to Volotea following a public call for tenders led by the French State and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alsace Eurometropolis. It will be provided by direct flights in Airbus A320 every Monday and Thursday, from November 20, 2023.
Present in Strasbourg since 2012 and with good performances this year, Volotea plans next year the highest capacity in its history with 1 million seats. It will also continue to play a central role in the connectivity of the Grand Est Region with new routes to reach 29 destinations in 2024.
In this logic of expanding its flight offer from and to Strasbourg, the Spanish airline has inaugurated its first connection to London-Gatwick international airport in London, with two flights per week, on Thursdays and Sundays. . It now serves 9 countries from Strasbourg (Germany, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, United Kingdom, Croatia).
