The Spanish low-cost Volotea and Eurowings, a subsidiary of Lufthansa, are preparing a commercial agreement concerning their respective routes on the European network. More than 140 lines will be on sale, in parallel, on the sites of the two companies (a hundred at Eurowings and forty at Volotea, with no overlap between them).

For Volotea, this means entering a new commercial market, offering eight new exclusive routes connecting for the first time its bases in France and Italy with Germany. As for Eurowings, the carrier is further strengthening its pan-European orientation.

Volotea will operate eight new routes to/from Germany, connecting directly Berlin, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart and Hamburg with its bases in Bordeaux, Lyon and Nantes. These new routes will have two weekly frequencies with a capacity of around 60,000 seats.

Next May 26 will be the start of the Bordeaux-Düsseldorf and Bordeaux-Stuttgart routes. October 10: Hamburg-Lyon and Bordeaux-Hamburg. October 12: Lyon-Berlin and Stuttgart-Nantes.

Tickets are on sale on the Volotea website, and as soon as a binding commercial cooperation agreement is finalized (presumably end of April), they will also be sold on the Eurowings website and all the usual distribution channels.
