Since August 15, 2023, the period during which tourist visitors can stay in Vietnam without the need for a visa has been increased from 15 to 45 days. The Vietnamese government has thus decided to increase the duration of temporary visa-free stays for citizens of 13 countries, including France. A boon for travelers to Vietnam, who now have more time to discover the regions of the country, thanks to the 22 destinations served by Vietnam Airlines domestic flights.

The Vietnamese government has just formalized the extension of the duration of temporary stay for nationals of 13 countries, from 15 to 45 days. This reform, established under Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP of August 14, 2023, concerns Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland North, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Belarus.

As soon as you enter the territory, this new extended period is applied, regardless of the type of passport, the reason or the mode of entry. However, travelers must meet the conditions prescribed by Vietnamese law.

This new reform aims to further promote tourism in the country, while ensuring compliance with national regulations. Visitors to Vietnam can now plan to visit several regions of the country, thanks to the domestic connections of the Vietnam Airlines network and its 22 cities served. As a reminder, the company operates a daily flight between Paris and Hanoi and up to 4 weekly flights from Paris to Ho Chi Minh City (excluding codeshare flights with Air France).
