Turkmenistan Airlines has suspended its Flights to Moscowinvoking security issues after the Ukrainian drone attacks on the Russian capital.
“Due to the situation in the Moscow air zone, and based on a risk assessment to ensure flight safety, all flights from
Airlines on the Ashgabat-Moscow-Ashgabat route will be suspended“, the Turkmenistan airline said in a statement yesterday. However, it continues to serve the Russian city of Kazan, located more than 700 km east of Moscow.
Russia says it has shot down Ukrainian drones near and over Moscow in recent days, but no injuries have been reported. On Tuesday, for the second time in three days, a drone struck a tower in Moscow’s business district housing three Russian government ministries. The drone attacks led to a brief closure of Vnukovo, one of Moscow’s airports, which then resumed operations.
