Devastating earthquake in Turkey last night, just after 2 a.m. in France (3 a.m. in Turkey) when eight very strong tremors hit the south of the country, not far from the border with Syria.
According to official figures, the strongest tremor was the one recorded at 2:17 with a magnitude of 7.9. Subsequently, seven more were felt, all between magnitude 4.7 and magnitude 5.6. There are currently 100 confirmed victims, but the toll is expected to increase hour by hour.
