According to the World Health Organization (WHO), around 23 million people in Syria and Turkey have been affected by the earthquakes. The death toll in both countries now stands at more than 5,000.

UN aid shipments from Turkey to Syria halted
Major UN aid deliveries from Turkey to Syria have been halted for the time being. This is currently not possible due to damaged roads and other logistical issues, said UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs spokeswoman Madevi Sun-Suona.
