A plane from the Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team crashed on Saturday September 16 at Turin airport immediately after takeoff and caught fire. The pilot of the trainer and fighter activated the ejection seat and was taken to hospital. A child who was on the edge of the slope was fatally injured in the flames after the accident, and another child and his parents are hospitalized.
Turin airport was closed until 7:30 p.m. Many flights were delayed.
Ibiza also closed
Also on Saturday evening (September 16), Ibiza airport had to close after a Lufthansa plane blocked the runway. Several tires burst on landing. But everything went well there and no one was hurt.
