End of solo adventures in Nepal: from April 1, hikers will have to hire a local guide for trekking.
The Nepal Tourism Board explained that this regulation will increase the safety of tourists and also create jobs there. The Nepalese Association of Trekking Agencies has indeed specified that most of the missing tourists are those who devote themselves to trekking without a guide.

According to information on the specialized site travelmole.com, Sherpas and guides will need to be hired through one of the local legally registered tour operators. The rule will apply to trekking routes included in the trekker information management system; however, this will not apply to mountaineers, for whom strict protocols are already in place.

Well then… Nepal is over for me… I like to be free.. It’s ridiculous to talk about safety when it’s just for employment.. There are other countries for great solo treks… Too bad
