The airline company low cost Transavia France will serve Ivalo And Rovaniemi in Finland next winter, both departing from Paris.

The subsidiary specializing in low-cost flights of the Air France group will offer from December 16, 2023 one flight per week between its base in Paris-Orly and the airport of Rovaniemi, operated a priori by Boeing 737-800 with 189 seats. Departures are scheduled on Saturdays at 7:50 a.m. to arrive at 12:35 p.m., return flights leaving Lapland at 1:45 p.m. to land at 4:45 p.m.

Transavia will be in “competition” with its parent company (from CDG) on this new route unveiled at the beginning of the month.

Still in Finland, the low cost will fly the same day from Orly to the airport ofIvalo (the northernmost in the EU), with a weekly rotation on Saturdays there too: departure from Paris by 737-800 at 7:45 a.m. to arrive at 1:00 p.m., and return from Lapland at 1:45 p.m. to land at 4:45 p.m.

No competition this time for Transavia France, which had inaugurated this line in January 2022 for two months, but had not offered it last winter.

Remember that Air France, for its part, serves the airports of Helsinki, Kittila and therefore Rovaniemi in Finland.
