Merger Means US Airways Will Join Oneworld on March 31

US Airways will join the oneworld alliance on March 31, 2014, as a result of the December 9 completion of its merger with alliance founding member American Airlines. All of US Airways’ regional-airline affiliates, operating under the US Airways Express brand, will also transition to oneworld at the same time.

With the expansion of in-flight Internet across its Airbus A320-family and Embraer 190 fleets, US Airways will have 90 per cent of its mainline domestic fleet equipped with Wi-Fi Internet access. The service will also be expanded to US Airways Express Embraer 170 and 175 jets operated by Republic Airlines.
