Austrian Airlines’ supervisory board has approved the purchase of 17 Embraer 195s from sister Lufthansa Group company Lufthansa CityLine, to replace 15 aging Fokker 100s and seven Fokker 70s Austrian now has in service.

China’s only specialized regional airline, China Express Airlines, has placed a firm order for three Bombardier CRJ900 NextGen airliners. Among the new services are year-round daily flights to Jacksonville in Florida and Richmond in Virginia. Delta Air Lines will also offer new service from Boston to Las Vegas.
Delta’s new service to SEA from San Francisco and increased service from Los Angeles will be operated by Delta Connection carrier Compass Airlines, with the exception of one daily mainline flight from Los Angeles. Delta’s increased Las Vegas-Seattle service will be operated by Delta Connection carrier SkyWest Airlines.
SkyWest, Inc. has reached agreement with Delta Air Lines on a deal which provides SkyWest with 34 more dual-class regional jets and calls for early termination of its Delta Connection operating contracts for 66 single-class Bombardier CRJ200s.
