The Mont Blanc tunnel is moving towards a complete reopening after the landslide of August 27 which blocked access to Fréjus. According to Clément Beaune, the Minister of Transport: “After a technical meeting with the motorway services, the department, the State services and the local authorities, the A43 will reopen this weekend”.
Since then, the closure of the French A43 motorway has congested traffic, but between Saturday and Sunday it is also expected to reopen to heavy goods vehicles.
