On October 13, 2023 in Ulaanbaatar, a major agreement was reached for the construction of a national Mongolian satellite telecommunications system. This collaboration between Thales Alenia Space and the Mongolian Ministry of Digital Development and Communications will strengthen the strategic partnership between Mongolia and France. The signing of the agreement took place in the presence of the President of Mongolia, Mr. Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, and the President of France, Mr. Emmanuel Macron, during the state visit of the Mongolian President to France.
