Faced with the Russian threat, Germany will buy the Israeli Arrow defense system.

Faced with the growing Russian threat posed by medium- and long-range missiles, the German federal government decided last fall to acquire the Israeli Arrow missile defense system to defend the airspace. The first Luftwaffe units are expected to be delivered from 2025. The security situation in Europe has changed dramatically since the annexation of Crimea in 2014, and with Russia’s offensive war against Ukraine and threats from President to escalate attacks, the threat to Germany from long-range missiles has become more of a concern.
