On the occasion of the years 75 from Zurich airportthe airline company SWISS will have the pleasure of welcoming the public around various activities giving an overview of the aviation world.
SWISS will offer a whole series of events and entertainment during the airport party, from September 1 to 3, 2023. Aviation enthusiasts will have the whole weekend to interact with professionals while admiring a Airbus A220 intended for short and medium-haul flights, as well as a long-haul aircraft.
The crews of the Swiss airline will describe their very varied professional daily life in the sky. Apprentice technicians will offer guests the opportunity to try their hand at aeronautical mechanics by assembling a replica engine themselves. It will also be possible to closely observe a simulator ofAirbus A320.
Different stages of the preparation of an aircraft will be presented on Friday September 1 at 4:15 p.m., Saturday September 2 at 12:45 p.m. and Sunday September 3 at 11:15 a.m., including the loading of freight and hundreds of suitcases as well as the refueling of large tanks. The movement of the plane towards the take-off runway will then also be commented on live.
Another highlight will be the solemn christening of a SWISS Airbus A220 on the party site: on Saturday 2 September at 3.30 p.m., visitors will be able to attend the ceremony during which the new single-aisle aircraft will take the name of Bad Zurzach. Young and old aviation enthusiasts present at the baptism will be invited, alongside a surprise guest, to take part in the history of this plane.
