One year after its rebranding, the Mauritian hotel group Sunlife is pleased with exceptional results on the French market. Thursday, October 5, the annual evening was held at the Buddha Bar Paris (to which we were not invited). This evening took place in the presence of Joëlle Edwards Tonks, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of the group. With Yann Lloret, Director France, they thanked all of their partners for their support, in the presence of Donald Payen, President of the MTPA. “We are happy to see all of our partners for this evening.
Sunlife had a record financial year last year (22/23) with +40% in business volume. The start of the year (23/24) is also very promising since the group is already at +30% in business volume,” rejoices Yann Lloret, France Director of Sunlife.
To continue this good momentum, the group has put in place a very attractive offer at Long Beach with -20% on stays booked before October 31 and made between October 27 and December 8 this year.
Joëlle Edwards Tonks continues: “We are extremely proud of the rapid adoption of the Sunlife name in the French market. Following the success of the Come Alive Collection, we are excited to unveil a series of new additions that demonstrate our continued commitment to staying dynamic and providing our guests with unforgettable stays.”
This year no speeches, but a photo exhibition revealing the group’s new products with the new rooms of the Long Beach 5* and Ambre 4* hotels and the family rooms of the Sugar Beach 5*SUP. The Kids Clubs of Sugar Beach 5*SUP and La Pirogue 4*SUP have also been completely renovated with a concept centered on new activities linked to the environment and carried by the mascot Izzy the bee.

If the evening was held at Buddha Bar Paris, it was also to promote the partnership between Sugar Beach and the Buddha Bar group for 5 years. Very popular with tourists and Mauritians, Buddha Bar Beach at Sugar Beach has been expanded to double the restaurant’s capacity and offer a new trendy beach bar. Present during the evening, David Boodhoo, Director of Buddha Bar Beach and voted best bartender in the Indian Ocean in 2019, presented his latest creations to the greatest pleasure of the guests!
