A Airbus A380 of the airline British Airways was forced to retry its landing after being buffeted by high winds on Saturday in London.
The British flag carrier’s A380 registered G-XLEA arrived from san francisco on July 15, 2023 on runway 27L of the airport of London-Heathrowbut the force of the southwest wind which was blowing on the platform forced the crew to go around for a second attempt – which ended without a hitch about fifteen minutes later.
The skill of the pilots is all the more notable as two other A380s fromEmirates who were trying to land at Heathrow on the same day were diverted, including flight EK29 sent to Glasgow after two unsuccessful attempts according to Airlive.
