Confirmation from the Greek Tourist Board during IFTM TopResa

September 2023 was the “best September ever” in terms of tourist arrivals, according to the secretary general of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), Dimitris Fragakis, who is in Paris this week to accompany the Minister of Tourism, Olga Kefalogianni, at IFTM Top Resa 2023.

A record year for Greece

Citing recent Central Bank data, Dimitris Fragakis said he expected 2023 to be another record year for Greek tourism. It said travel revenues were up about 15% from 2019 levels and arrivals were up about 13% in the first half of 2023.

Tour operators will continue their collaboration with Greece

During his visit to Paris, Dimitris Fragakis met with airline executives and tour operators and the messages are “exceptionally good”, he said. He added that he expected occupancy levels to remain high in several destinations across the country in October.
