Safran Seats is the supplier of three classes (eco premium, business and Première) for the Japanese company’s 13 Airbus A350s, with many new technological features.

Japan Airlines has unveiled its new premium economy, business and first class seats, fully personalized with Safran Seats for 13 Airbus A350s. Japan Airlines will be the first airline in the world to offer the latest technologies from Safran Seats in first and business class: Euphony, the headphone-free audio solution from Safran Seats developed in collaboration with Devialet, a company expert in acoustic engineering, and Active Backrest, a new mechanism which provides more support to the backrest during all phases of flight and which has been developed to adapt to all passenger morphologies.

The first class cabin will be equipped with six suites. Each suite has a large independent passenger seat, with a side seat for use when the main seat is in the bed position. The main seat converts into an 80-inch bed (over two meters) with high shells and doors for greater privacy. The suite can accommodate up to three people in flight thanks to the main seat and side seat combined with the adjacent ottoman. Numerous storage spaces provide generous space for personal belongings, such as a wardrobe, a large space under the ottoman (the backless seat which extends the main seat in the unfolded position) and insulated storage for drinks. Passengers can enjoy an immersive cinematic experience thanks to the 43-inch screen (nearly 1.10 diagonal) combined with Euphony, the headphone-free audio experience, and a wireless individual control unit.
