Raytheon delivers a first AESA modernization radar to Boeing.
Raytheon, a subsidiary of RTX, delivered the first B-52 active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar to Boeing as part of the US Air Force’s B-52 Radar Modernization Program. This first radar will be used for the integration, verification and testing of the system. Equipping the B-52 with an AESA radar replaces its current radar technology from the 1960s, says Michelle Styczynski, vice president of Agile Radar Solutions at Raytheon.
