Rogue Space Systems, an American space services company, has been selected by AFWERX, the Innovation department of the USAF and the US Space Force, for a contract to exploit sensor fusion technology. Rogue highlights a sensor system merging active light detection (LIDAR) and a 3D reconstruction algorithm in conjunction with its Orbots orbital robots. Rogue’s fleet of orbiting robots (Orbots™) is designed to provide various services, from inspection to transportation, in LEO, MEO and GEO satellites.
