New RAF MQ-9B drone begins testing in UK.

The first of 16 MQ-9B drones, named Protector in the RAF and Skyguardian in the United States, would be suitable for global surveillance operations, and will begin testing in the United Kingdom this week. The aircraft will undergo testing until its planned entry into service at the end of 2024. The remaining 15 drones are expected to be delivered by General Atomics by the end of 2025.
