Polish Ministry of National Defense signs framework agreement with Lockheed Martin for Homar-A rocket artillery system program

The Armaments Agency of the Polish Ministry of Defense has signed an agreement with Lockheed Martin for the Homar-A rocket launch system. In this project, Polish industry is partnering with Lockheed Martin to integrate key components of the HIMARS rocket launcher onto a Jelcz 6×6 truck. The agreement includes technology transfer and production orders for HIMARS munitions. The 486 Homar-A vehicles will be assembled in Poland, with first deliveries planned for 2026.

On September 11, 2023, the Armament Agency of the Polish Ministry of National Defense signed a framework agreement with Lockheed Martin for the Homar-A multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). As part of this program, Polish industry will work with Lockheed Martin to integrate key components of the HIMARS rocket launcher onto a Jelcz 6×6 truck. This agreement strengthens Lockheed Martin’s growing partnership in Poland, including technology transfer and production orders for HIMARS munitions. The main participants in Polish industry are Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ), Huta Stalowa Wola (HSW), WZU and MESKO.
