Peru will not host the FIFA U-17 World Cup

The FIFA Under-17 World Cup is an international football competition that takes place every two years in a host country.

Unfortunately, after lengthy discussions between FIFA and the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF), FIFA had to withdraw the hosting rights for the U-17 World Cup 2023 in Peru.

The tournament will still take place from November 10 to December 2, 2023, with the FIFA Advisory Committee deciding on a new host in due course. The decision became necessary because the host country, contrary to its obligations, was unable to provide the necessary infrastructure for the tournament.

Time is running out to obtain the necessary investments from the Peruvian government and to complete the necessary works before the start of the tournament.
