Pegasus Airlines places a firm order for 36 Airbus A321neos

Pegasus Airlines announced yesterday that they have ordered 36 Airbus A321neo single-aisle aircraftwith deliveries expected before 2029.

This firm order brings to 150 the number of A320 Family aircraft purchased since 2012 by the Turkish low-cost airline based in Istanbul. The amount of the order was not specified. According to the latest Airbus catalog price, which has not been updated since 2018 and which is never applied anyway, it would reach 4.67 billion dollars.

In single-class configuration, the A321neo ordered by Pegasus Airlines will be equipped with 239 seats for low cost and will allow the Turkish airlineboth to expand and to renew (its) fleet“, declares its general manager Güliz Öztürk, quoted in a press release. Founded in 1990 and based at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, southeast of Istanbul, Pegasus Airlines today serves 129 destinations, including 93 abroad.

The A321neo represents more than 60% of European aircraft manufacturer Airbus’ order book for the A320 family, which exceeds 6,000 units to be delivered in total.
