After three years of absence, Norwegian Cruise Line returned to Asia with the Norwegian Jewel, arriving in Tokyo where he set sail last May for a six-month journey across the continent.
The ship will offer a total of 16 itineraries in 11 countries from nine different departure ports, including Bangkok (Laem Chabang) in Thailand, Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang) in Malaysia, Singapore, Taipei (Keelung) in Taiwan, Bali (Benoa) in Indonesia, Tokyo and Yokohama in Japan and, for the first time in the history of the shipping company, Manila in the Philippines and Seoul (Incheon) in South Korea.
Cruises last from 10 to 14 days, with stopovers of up to 13 hours in destinations such as Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), as well as overnight stops in Phuket, Osaka and Bali. The cruise line will also make its first stops in Manila, Boracay, Palawan and Salomague in the Philippines, Bintan Island in Indonesia and Hualien in Taiwan.
Four ships and lots of stops…
During the 2024/25 season, NCL will increase its Asian presence by deploying four vessels to the region: in addition to Norwegian Jewel, Spirit, Sun and Norwegian Sky will sail the continent with cruises that will include Japan, Korea and Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Philippines and Malaysia.
At its beginnings, Norwegian Sun will have a six-month Asia-Pacific season, featuring 13 itineraries from October 2024 to April 2025, four of which have never been offered before, including three sailings from Melbourne, Australia and one from Auckland cruising from New Zealand to Bali, March 2025. Departure ports include Melbourne and Sydney, Auckland, Honolulu and Papeete, French Polynesia.
In Asia, Norwegian Spirit will offer 14 itineraries over eight monthsfrom September 2024 to April 2025, departing from Manila, Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo and Seoul.
The four-month Asian season Norwegian Sky will include seven sailings departing from Manila, Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo and Port Louis to Mauritius, between December 2024 and March 2025. The duration of the cruises will vary from 10 to 17 days.
