Not even time to sign the agreement with Trenitalia’s main railway competitor that MSC is ready to expand further, this time in the tourism sector. The Geneva transport and logistics giant is one of ten candidates in the call for tenders to acquire one of the main Italian tourist groups. In fact, among the competitors there are also international investment funds.
The value of Alpitour is around 1.5 billion euros. Interest was also reportedly expressed by the Certares fund, Tui and Barcelò.
