Taking into account the latest known developments and the various messages from the authorities concerning the situation at destination, all hotel, tourist and airport infrastructures in Marrakech are operational.

Consequently, the SETO (Syndicat des Entreprises du Tour Operating), recommends to its members the following provisions:

• For customers currently in Marrakech hotel structures: the programs continue to run and the tour operators provide, in close cooperation with their receptionists, all the necessary assistance to their customers. Of course, excursion arrangements are put in place according to the specific situations of certain areas.

• For customers departing to Marrakech and until Monday September 18 inclusive, SETO recommends adopting the greatest commercial flexibility for customers who do not wish to leave given the local situation. In this respect, SETO reminds that if it is possible to offer deferrals and/or credits, customers have the right to refuse them in which case the Tourism Code applies.

• Obviously, these measures may be modified at any time depending on the evolution of the situation and in the interests of customers, travel agencies and tour operators.

• For affected trips, tour operators inform their customers as soon as possible. Tour operators are available to their customers and travel agencies to answer their questions and provide solutions to special cases.

An update of this recommendation will be made no later than September 18, 2023.
