Moby ferries – one of the most important shipping companies in Europe which operates the routes of Sardinia and which was saved from bankruptcy last September by the MSC group – has decided to connect the island of beauty with new lines that expand its network: Genoa-Bastia, Livorno-Bastia and Santa Teresa di Gallura-Bonifacio.
The first of the new lines is the Genoa-Ajaccio-Porto Torres line, created at the request of the public who reach Corsica from the Italian northwest.
The extension of the line to Porto Torres will further increase trade between Sardinia and Corsica, both from a tourist and commercial point of view.
The second new Piombino-Bastia line is the fastest of all the French continental and island lines.
To allow passengers to enjoy Corsica also in spring and early autumn, the lines between Livorno and Genoa and Bastia will depart earlier (from Livorno already in March) and end later in the season.
Little by little, the liveries of the ships which will serve the island of beauty will be decorated with the Moor’s head and many other typical Corsican symbols.
