For a first outside of Europe and a first in the Asia-Pacific region, Lufthansa joined forces with KorailSouth Korea’s leading rail operator, to offer passengers the flexibility ofan intermodal air-rail network when traveling in South Korea.
Through this partnership, Lufthansa passengers will now be able to travel to and from Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN) to eight destinations served by Korail, including Busan, Dongdaegu, Gwangju, Ulsan, Pohang, Yeosu, Mokpo and Jinju, with one ticket, providing seamless and one-stop shopping for their travel needs. Passengers can now book train-air tickets via the Lufthansa website as well as through their preferred travel agent thanks to the full integration of these products into the GDS reservation system.
