Lufthansa Group developed a sustainable flight offer for passengers going to the World Climate Conference (COP28) in Dubai: since Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Belgiumthey can opt for a special rate with Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, SWISS and Brussels.
These airlines of the German airline group include a 100% compensation of CO2 emissions linked to their flights, via sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), to Dubai during COP28, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, from November 30 to December 12, 2023. The special offer is available in all booking classes and can be reserved until December 10 on a dedicated site, and also includes a bike rental voucher a week in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Business Class customers can also benefit from an airport-hotel transfer in an electronic limousine.
As a reminder, Lufthansa Group has set ambitious objectives in terms of climate protection and is aiming for a neutral CO2 balance by 2050. By 2030 already, it wants to halve its net CO2 emissions compared to 2019 thanks to to reduction and compensation measures. For effective climate protection, the group focuses in particular on the accelerated modernization of its fleet, the use of SAF, the continuous optimization of flight operations and offers its private travelers and business customers the opportunity to make a more sustainable flight or cargo transportation.
