Lockheed Martin’s Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program has successfully completed its Preliminary Design Review (PDR) with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The NGI will be part of the MDA’s mid-range ground-air defense system. It will provide a new advanced interceptor (anti-missile missile) to protect America against long-range ballistic missile threats.

On September 29, Lockheed Martin’s Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program completed the Preliminary Design Review (PDR), in partnership with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The company maintains its schedule to provide NGI on an accelerated schedule for the armed forces. The NGI is an integral part of the MDA’s ground-to-air missile defense system and will provide a new advanced interceptor (anti-missile missile) to protect America against long-range ballistic missile threats.
