GREENVILLE, SC, September 7, 2023 – The first F-16 Block 70 aircraft for the Slovak Republic was unveiled at Lockheed Martin in South Carolina during Defense Minister Martin Sklenár’s visit. Slovakia will be the first European country to receive this most advanced version of the Fighting Falcon.

On September 7, 2023, the first F-16 Block 70 aircraft for the Slovak Republic was unveiled at the Lockheed Martin factory in Greenville, South Carolina, during the visit of that country’s Minister of Defense, Martin Sklenár . The Slovak Republic will be the first European country to receive this latest and most capable version of the Fighting Falcon. These F-16s will enable the Slovak Air Forces to stay ahead of threats in the region and be part of the allied mission in Europe, NATO and across the world.
