Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH has signed an agreement with Eve Air Mobility for the supply of electromechanical actuators for the flight control system of the ADAVe (Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Aircraft). Featuring fully integrated electronics, these actuators are among the first in the world to be used in primary flight control systems.
Liebherr-Aerospace equips Eve’s ADAVe
Liebherr-Aerospace will equip the ADAVe (electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Aircraft) with Eve Air Mobility. The equipment manufacturer will ensure the supply of electromechanical actuators for the ADAVe flight control system, which will be integrated into Eve’s ADAVe and will operate its aileron, elevator and rudder.
A long-standing partner of Embraer
“As a long-standing partner of Embraer, a key pillar of Eve’s engineering, we have successfully collaborated on numerous development projects. This contract marks a historic milestone and the start of a new relationship with Eve Air Mobility. It demonstrates our continued commitment to excellence for our customers. From the earliest stages of development, we took Eve’s actuator needs into consideration. Our electrical technology, in particular our fly-by-wire actuators, strengthens the maintainability, reliability and maneuverability of future aircraft,” explains Klaus Schneider, Technical Director of Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS.
3,000 aircraft
Eve has already received orders for nearly 3,000 aircraft and is actively collaborating with various operators, infrastructure companies and government agencies to establish a favorable operating environment for urban air mobility. In close cooperation with Liebherr-Electronics and Drives GmbH, Lindau (Germany) as well as the Liebherr-Aerospace team at two locations in Brazil, São José dos Campos and Gavião Peixoto, Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH (Germany), the Liebherr’s center of excellence for flight controls, actuators, gears, gearboxes and landing gear, will be responsible for the development and manufacturing of the units.
