The new Vulcan rocket from the United Launch Alliance (ULA) is preparing to complete the final stages of its preparation before its maiden launch. The first certification flight (Cert-1) is scheduled for Sunday, December 24 from Space Launch Complex-41 (SLC-41) in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The first Vulcan launcher was scheduled to launch in May, but a propellant tank cracked during testing in March, damaging the test stand.
