The trendy neighborhood is making a name for itself in the latest annual Time Out ranking. Ranked as the best place for entertainment, food, culture and community, this thriving neighborhood ranks 13th in the recent annual index. Once located in an industrial area, the Art District of Los Angeles has transformed into a trendy hub for creatives and travelers.

Nestled near Little Tokyo and sitting on one side of the new Sixth Street Viaduct, the neighborhood offers plenty of options for a day or weekend visit. With the new Little Tokyo/Arts District Metro Regional Connector station opening this summer, getting there is quick and easy. Michelin star meals can be enjoyed at Hayato, Kato and Camphor or for casual bites and drinks head to La Cha Cha Cha or Everson Royce Bar. Neighborhood favorites include Bavel for its Middle Eastern cuisine and open-air ambiance and Bestia, offering Italian-inspired cuisine.

This fall, many new art exhibitions are appearing in the neighborhood. Paper Route, an exhibition dedicated to Paper’s works, opened October 14 at Art Share LA, James Razko: Casting Shadows opened October 21 at Anna Zorina Gallery, and Gongkan: Monsters In You and Invader: Camouflages & Devils Tower opened October 21 at the Anna Zorina Gallery. opened on September 23 at the Over The Influence gallery.
