THE KLM ground staff threatens to go on strike if management does not respond to the ultimatum issued by the FNV union regarding the new collective agreement.

The employees are demanding a salary increase of 14.3% to compensate for inflation in 2023 and automatic compensation for 2024. The ultimatum posed by the FNV union will expire on September 14.

Dutch airline KLM, a strategic partner of Air France, had previously offered ground staff a 9% salary increase over two years, with the possibility of an inflation correction of up to 2%. here on January 1, 2025.

But the FNV union rejected this proposal for a new collective agreement, considering that it “ is completely inadequate ” And ” totally insufficient on many points“. The union is instead demanding a 14.3% wage increase, otherwise it will call its members to strike.
