Jérémie de Fombelle appointed GM of Sales and Marketing for The Lux Collective

The international hotel group The Lux Collective announces the appointment of Jérémie de Fombelle as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer (General Manager of Sales and Marketing). In line with its desire to develop talent internally, this appointment underlines the group’s commitment to showcasing the best of its employees.

Passionate about the hotel industry, Jérémie is originally from France where he graduated from Vatel International Business School after a stint at the University of Law in Paris and after following graduate programs at Cornell University.

With over twenty years of leadership and operational experience in luxury hotel management, Jérémie aims to strengthen The Lux Collective’s positioning by focusing on outreach strategies for the group’s brand portfolio across the world, while strengthening employee autonomy.

Jérémie’s dynamic approach to innovation and change has led him to lead teams and train leaders around the world. He began his career in Vietnam in 1999 at Victoria Hotels and Resorts, then in Cambodia in 2002 as General Manager of the La Noria hotel.

In 2005, he was General Manager of Belmond La Résidence Phou Vao, the most important hotel in Laos at that time, then of Belmond Napasai in Thailand in 2009 and of Belmond Jimbaran Puri Bali in Indonesia. He also oversaw the opening of the Wanda Realm hotel in China, from the Wanda Group.

In 2014, he moved to Mauritius and became Managing Director of LUX* Le Morne. Given his strong leadership and management skills, he was appointed Regional General Manager for Mauritius and Reunion for LUX* Resorts & Hotels prior to his last appointment.Paul Jones, CEO of The Lux Collective, said “Jérémie has proven himself in several properties and has succeeded in managing luxury hotels, developing brands and opening hotels and restaurants.
