Ita, Trenitalia and Rome airports launch the single ticket

The single plane+train ticket is finally a reality at Ita Airways, Trenitalia and Aeroporti di Roma: a trinity which constitutes an important advance in the intermodality of transport in Italy and a prelude to the mechanism which Lufthansa will also soon join.

Now, thanks to Accesrail technology, it will be possible to buy air and rail journeys in a single transaction and connect the main Italian cities served by the Frecciarossa high-speed train to Fiumicino airport, passing without problems from train to plane and vice versa. And if the start-up phase has already begun, the official launch of the product is scheduled for the end of April, in view of the high summer season.

The infrastructures have also been adapted to the new reality with the installation of an Ita check-in counter in the Fiumicino airport station. A service dedicated to those who reach the airport by train aboard a Frecciarossa or the Leonardo Express from Rome Termini, to continue their journey with the Italian company to an international or intercontinental destination served by ITA itself.
