Difficult to reassure customers leaving for Egypt or Jordan. However, we knew that the tourist season for these two destinations was well underway. Unfortunately, tourism lives at a different pace than geopolitics. The latest message sent by the Israeli authorities to its nationals is really not reassuring.

Travel Warning (Israelis)

This is the message sent by the National Security Council (Israel) as regional tensions escalate due to the war in Gaza.

“Israel’s National Security Council raises its travel warnings for Egypt (including Sinai) and Jordan to Level 4 (high threat): recommendation not to travel to these countries and to those staying there from leave… as soon as possible,” he said. in a report.

Recall of diplomats from Türkiye

The notice comes just days after Israel recalled its diplomats from Turkey as a security measure following an earlier request for its citizens to leave as well.

The calls for evacuations come after days of protests across the Middle East following Israel’s bombardment of the Gaza Strip.

The war broke out after Hamas militants stormed into Israel from the Gaza Strip, taking more than 200 hostages and killing at least 1,400 people, most of them civilians who were shot, mutilated or burned alive, according to Israeli officials.

Israel has since vowed to destroy Hamas. A bombing campaign launched in response has leveled entire blocks of Gaza, killing 4,137 Palestinians so far, most of them civilians, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.
