The airline company low cost IndiGo will launch at the beginning of August a new link between mumbai And Nairobihis first to Kenya and Africa.

From August 5, 2023, the Indian low-cost flight specialist will offer a daily flight between its base in Mumbai- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the airport of Nairobi-Jomo Kenyatta, operated by Airbus A320neo that can accommodate 186 passengers. With the exception of the inaugural flight, departures are scheduled at 2:10 a.m. to arrive at 5:40 a.m., with return flights leaving Kenya at 6:40 a.m. to land at 3:25 p.m.

IndiGo will compete with Kenya Airways on this route, its 27th international destination also being served from Delhi by Air India.

According to a press release, this new route marks “IndiGo’s entry into the African subcontinent (? Editor’s note) and brings many advantages for business and leisure travelers. This represents a significant step forward in IndiGo’s international expansion strategy, as it strengthens strategic ties, trade and travel routes between the two countries, thereby promoting economic growth”.
