Tourism Malaysia announces its participation in the 2023 edition of IFTM-Top Résa. Malaysia aims this year to strengthen its presence among French travel experts and passionate travelers. The Tourism Board has invited all professionals to delve into the captivating sphere of ecotourism, which positions Malaysia at the top of the most responsible travel destinations.

Malaysia still present in living rooms around the world…

Malaysia reopened its borders last April and, to support this dynamic, Tourism Malaysia actively participates in trade shows such as IFTM-Top Resa. An unmissable event, conducive to meetings and constructive exchanges between Malaysian tourism representatives and French buyers.

Visitors to the Malaysia stand will have the opportunity to experience the special features that make this country unique within global ecotourism, offering a fusion of nature, adventure and enduring heritage traditions that creates the ultimate travel experience.

Multiple regions to discover in Malaysia

Malaysia is home to thousands of species of flora and fauna as well as some of the oldest tropical forests. It is recognized as one of the 12 megadiversity countries in the world. Its diverse ecosystems, from pristine rainforests to vibrant coral reefs, offer a wide range of ecological experiences. The country has eight national geoparks, with Langkawi and Kinabalu Park having achieved UNESCO Global Geopark status.

Professionals from Malaysia will be present

Eight other key players in the tourism industry in Malaysia will exhibit alongside the ONT, including Asian Trails Malaysia, Bamboo Adventure, Berjaya Hotels and Resorts, Destination Explore, Malai Adventure, Malaysia Airlines, Solidarity Association for Travel & Tours Agency Malaysia (SAFTTA) and Pro-Eco Adventures. This initiative aligns with Malaysia’s National Tourism Policy, focusing on promoting ecotourism as a key growth segment for the country’s tourism industry.

This participation aims to increase interest and awareness of what sets Malaysia apart as a destination, providing travel professionals and explorers with access to rich natural wonders and ecotourism prospects.

On stand D73, visitors are invited to take part in a quiz to name three eco-destinations in Malaysia presented in the video “Soul of Malaysia.” The winner will receive a return economy class airfare from London to Kuala Lumpur on Malaysia Airlines and a 3-day/2-night luxury stay with breakfast at The RuMa Hotel & Residences Kuala Lumpur.

It is a destination that continues to grow in popularity as a flagship destination in Southeast Asia, French business and leisure travelers, as well as corporate event attendees, can look forward to trips exciting in the heart of Malaysia. So many opportunities to meet and exchange with Tourism Malaysia at IFTM-Top Resa 2023 and discover the treasure of Malaysian ecotourism Stand D73.
