Puerto Rico’s weather agency has warned of strong waves from Hurricane Lee, which could reach 4.6 meters high.
In this sense, the agency assures that “dangerous breaking waves and potentially deadly ocean currents are likely in the north of the Leeward Islands from today”.
We’ve been talking about it for several days and at the latest news, hurricane Lee is advancing on the Atlantic, now a category 4, but there remains a powerful system that threatens the beaches and coastal areas of the Lesser Antilles.
According to the latest report from the US National Hurricane Center (NHC), the hurricane occurred approximately 910 kilometers east of the Leeward Islands. Sustained winds are around 250 km/h with higher gusts, making Lee a category 4 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale, out of a total of 5.
