The Courtyard by Marriott New Haven/Orange hotel has completed a comprehensive renovation to all its public areas.
“One of the most noticeable improvements was to our lobby, which features an open, bright and contemporary design in accents of blue, green, orange and red,” says Nadine Azzaro, general manager.
The floor-to-ceiling lobby transformation has created new places to eat, work, connect and relax in an area filled with flexible seating options. The traditional front desk has been replaced with separate welcome podiums for a more personalized check-in.
A large, communal table provides a casual area to mix and mingle. Flexible and functional media pods, semi-enclosed booths with personal high-definition TVs, provide a place to work and socialize. Guests can retrieve information at their fingertips with the interactive GoBoard, a 52-inch LCD touch screen offering area information, restaurants, weather, and maps.
The new lobby Bistro provides an enhanced menu for travelers with hot picks, refreshing choices and healthy options. Breakfast is made-to-order along with Starbucks-brewed coffee. A complete restaurant area and bar add ambiance and dining for evening activity.
Guests may also work and relax outside in the courtyard, complete with new fire pit. Other areas that received improvements include all guestroom corridors, meeting spaces and the hotel’s exercise room. In addition, all guestrooms received new furniture.
The 121-room Courtyard by Marriott New Haven/Orange, located at 136 Marsh Hill Road, is convenient to Yale University, Yale West Campus, Yale University Hospital, New Haven University and major corporations and attractions in New Haven.
The hotel offers travelers complimentary Wi-Fi high-speed Internet access; the Bistro featuring healthy food and beverage choices in the morning and evening dinner served with cocktails; a 24/7 Market; an outdoor pool, courtyard, patio and gazebo; an exercise room; and five meeting rooms offering a total 3,900 square feet of space.
