After unveiling its brand concept last September and opening its first property in January in Fort Lauderdale, B Hotels & Resorts is now adding a South Miami Beach hotel as its  second property.

The 250-key Continental Oceanfront South Beach Hotel, located at 18th Street and Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, Florida, is situated directly on the beach in Miami Beach’s Art Deco District. Within two blocks of the Miami Beach Convention Center, Lincoln Road, and the historic Jackie Gleason Theater, the hotel is also close to Ocean Drive and much of Miami Beach’s shopping, dining and nightlife.


B Hotels & Resorts is having the Continental Oceanfront South Beach Hotel renovated before its relaunch as the B South Beach but expects the hotel to remain operational during its renovation and repositioning. The B South Beach will be launched as part of the B Hotels & Resorts portfolio in late fall 2012.

The first B Hotels & Resorts property – B Ocean Fort Lauderdale – opened in January. Located on Fort Lauderdale Beach, the hotel is minutes from the Las Olas art/entertainment district, Port Everglades and the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport.

B Ocean Fort Lauderdale features 240 oceanview guestrooms, panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, complimentary wireless internet access, iPad loaners, an infinity-edge pool with private open-air cabanas, 8,000 square feet of meeting space called B on Top, the Quench Pool & Patio Bar, and two distinctive dining concepts. SAIA features sushi and Asian grill offerings and B’stro on the Beach offers organic fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

This is the official logo of B Hotels & Resorts, unveiled as a hotel-brand concpet in September 2010. The brand's first hotel, the B Ocean Fort Lauderdale, opened in January 2011 and its second (the B South Beach) is expected to open in Miami Beach's Art Deco District in late fall 2012

The Continental Oceanfront South Beach Hotel is owned by InSite Group and Cube Capital, which acquired the property for $61 million in a joint venture earlier this year.
