The communications consulting group, Hopscotch, a major player in the social web, public relations, events and marketing services, announced last June the acquisition of the Interface Tourism agencies in France, Spain, Italy and the The Netherlands. An important change for the founder, Gaël de la Porte du Theil, who is a widely recognized professional in France.

The Hopscotch group, whose integrated international network has more than 30 offices structured around 3 large regional hubs (EMEA, Americas, Asia), continues its international development by announcing the acquisition of the Interface Tourisme agencies located in 4 countries (France, Spain , Italy, Netherlands).

Interface Tourism, a player in the promotion of tourist destinations and the art of living.

It would have a turnover of €16 million, a gross margin of more than €8 million, and would employ around a hundred people. This acquisition marks a new stage in the international deployment of the group. The group has supported and already supports major players in the sector such as La Réunion Office National Marocain du Tourisme (ONMT), Relais & Châteaux, Accor… The ambition is to become the global leader in destination marketing.

A new entity: Hopscotch Interface Tourism

The management committee will be composed of Frédéric Bedin, Chairman of the Hopscotch Group Management Board, Chris Pomeroy, Managing Director of Hopscotch Spain and Blaise Borezée, Managing Director of Hopscotch France. The founder of Interface Tourism, Gaël de la Porte du Theil, will support this project as Senior Advisor. This management committee will notably implement synergies between the Interface Tourism teams and Hopscotch agencies and expertise, drawing on the numerous sectoral complementarities: influence, PR, digital, events, etc. “We are very pleased to welcome the Interface teams to the Hopscotch group, who bring us unique know-how and knowledge of the tourism sector on the market, a sector that was already very close to our hearts and strengthens our presence in Spain , Italy and the Netherlands,” specifies Frédéric Bedin. “With this agreement, Hopscotch is realizing an ambition expressed for more than 20 years aimed at covering the entire world and expanding its skills in all sectors of the Art of Living.
