The Council’s key strategies and initiatives to revive tourism:
1. An international promotion campaign
The “Hello Hong Kong” promotional campaign is being rolled out worldwide today to spread a positive message of renewal. Hong Kong is back with new and never-before-seen experiences and plenty of activities awaiting visitors as all entry restrictions are lifted.
The campaign includes a series of dynamic promotional content that will be broadcast on 3,000 platforms worldwide. A themed video series featuring business leaders, influencers, destination Super Fans and Hong Kong celebrities, such as Cantopop legends Aaron Kwok, Sammi Cheng and Kelly Chen, will showcase the range of news exciting experiences offered at destination.

2. A welcome with particular attention to destination
To encourage globetrotters to travel to Hong Kong, 500,000 free tickets will be distributed by the Hong Kong Airport Authority in different markets, through three national carriers, Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Express and Hong Kong Airlines, from March.
To welcome visitors, the HKTB and stakeholders in the tourism and hospitality sectors have set up a series of very attractive welcome offers in more than 16,000 establishments in the city. 3. A presentation of new experiences and new events
Hong Kong is delighted to introduce visitors to the new attractions and unique experiences developed over the past few years. Among the many new additions are the M+ and Hong Kong Palace Museum in the cultural district of West Kowloon, the new Peak Tram, the new ‘Momentous’ night show at Hong Kong Disneyland and revamped waterfront promenades offering breathtaking views of Victoria Bay, top the bill.
Additionally, Hong Kong will host a year-round calendar of over 250 events and festivals. Highlights that highlight the city’s vibrancy and diversity include the Hong Kong Marathon (next February 12), Clockenflap Music Festival (March 3-5), Art Basel (March 23-25 March), Museum Summit 2023 (March 24-25), Hong Kong Rugby Sevens (March 31-April 2), Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival (November 2023) and New Year’s Eve Countdown Celebrations .
